A production system would need: (1) a concurrent priority queue per agent inbox, (2) a topic trie for O(log n) wildcard matching, (3) persistent dead letter storage (leveraging Cycle 35 persistent memory), (4) back-pressure signaling when queues approach max depth, (5) message serialization for cross-node transport, (6) idempotency keys for at-least-once delivery deduplication. The request-response pattern needs a correlation map with timeout timers, which would require integration with the event loop. The broadcast pattern needs hierarchical fan-out for clusters larger than 128 agents.
